Gardening. And God.

Did you ever wonder why gardening was so popular with colonial super powers back in the day? It's because it's a less bloody, less costly, form of playing God.

You step out into your garden, no matter how big or how small, and you the man! You get to decide who lives or dies.

You're in complete control of immigration (i.e. seeds) even without a wall. (Though some do blow in seeking asylum.)

You have a form of Aldous Huxley's soma in your tool kit; whether MiracleGro or even some form of human biomass. Though like any good opioid crisis, things can get out of hand. And shit stinks.

You decide what's pretty. You decide what's a weed.

Of course it's hard work. But power feels good. As does eating your creations.
